Professor of Science and Technology Studies (STS) Nancy D. Campbell has been awarded a Senior Fellowship at the University of Freiburg Institute for Advanced Study (FRIAS) in Freiburg, Germany, for a project titled “Resonant Histories: Synchronization in Social Movements and Science.”
The project will document and comparatively analyze harm reduction movements aimed at lessening the negative effects of drug (particularly opiate) consumption and over-consumption.
The Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies is the international research college of the University of Freiburg. As an integral part of the university, the Institute unites under its roof the humanities and social sciences as well as medicine, the natural and life sciences, and engineering.
