This exhibition is about one man’s indenture on the Manor of Rensselaerwyck during the 1800’s up to a decade before the Civil War. The curator has researched primary documents from Amos Fuller’s life here that were provided by his descendant Katherine Wilkinson. It is exciting to share his story because Troy, New York today has been greatly shaped by this history. Stephen Van Rensselaer, the owner of the Manor of Rensselaerwyck was the founder of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
