Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences (GSAS)
Rensselaer’s new Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences (GSAS) Major is designed to educate students for early career positions, in addition to providing them with the technical, communication, and leadership skills needed to help shape an industry emerging out of the “games” phenomenon.
Electronic Media Arts and Communication
The EMAC program integrates creative and critical thought with expertise in advanced electronic multimedia. The interdisciplinary approach of arts and communication produces entrepreneurs and critical thinkers who will use technology in innovative ways in commercial, academic and artistic spheres.
Design, Innovation, and Society (DIS)
Design, Innovation, and Society (formerly Product Design and Innovation) is a unique program developed at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to prepare students to design products and develop technologies for the twenty-first century. With a broader scope than typical industrial design or engineering programs, PDI seeks to "bridge" these disciplines to create new products, services and media in the context of social needs and environmental concerns.
