Sustainable Agriculture and Terrorism

John M. Polimeni is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Albany College of Pharmacy.  He has a Ph.D. in Ecological Economics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a B.S. degree in Mathematics also from RPI, and an M.A. degree in Economics from SUNY at Albany, where he also received a Certificate in Graduate Studies in Regulatory Economics.  Dr. Polimeni is the managing editor of the International Journal of Transdisciplinary Research, devoted to integrating the study of economics with disciplines within the natural and social sciences as well as the humanities.  He is also on the editorial board of the Research Journal of Chemistry and Environment. Dr. Polimeni is a Fellow of the International Congress of Chemistry and Environment and an Honorary Member of the Scientific Council of the Romanian National Academy of Science.  His primary research interests are energy efficiency, economic development, agriculture, and sustainability.  He has published several articles in these fields and received research grants from the New York State Department of Transportation and the Renaissance Corporation and software grants from ESRI and Visual Learning Systems for work in GIS.
