When: Sunday, January 30, 3pm Where: State University of New York at Albany Performing Arts Center Recital Hall (uptown campus) Bob Gluck (MFA '01) is giving a recital for piano and electronics at the University at Albany. It will be a varied and unusual program, including music for solo piano, jazz music for piano and bass, and works for a computer assisted piano (Yamaha Disklavier) and electronics. The centerpiece of the concert is Tzvi Avni's 'Epitaph', Second Sonata for piano. Avni is among the founding generation of Israeli composers. The program will also include Disklavier and computer works by Christopher Dobrian and Gluck, improvisatory duets with bassist David Katz, and music by Frank Zappa, Dave Holland and Josef Zawinul. The concert will be an enjoyable and interesting mix of acoustic piano and new technologies..
