THE HUMAN PAINTBRUSH, Tyler Sammann, BS EART Thesis

EMPAC, Studio Beta

April 11, 2012 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

An interactive piece made for two users; one that gives instructions (the Painter), and one that receives and attempts to follow instructions (the Human Paintbrush).
The blindfolded "paintbrush" will receive instructions via sound from eight surrounding speakers. The "painter" controls these sound instructions, attempting to influence
the paintbrush's movements in particular ways. These movements, and other actions, are tracked, and are converted into brush-strokes on a digital painting.
