Sociology and cognitive science can both provide significant insight into human behavior, however the complexity of human behavior requires work along multiple disciplines to accurately model. Although human social behavior is difficult to model, modeling it is vital to making future decisions regarding to policy with practical applications ranging from economic stability to legal rulings. This talk will present a method applying computational cognitive architectures to tribal behavior, with the intent of modeling realistic human behaviors. The challenges involved in the interdisciplinary work required for such modeling will also be covered.
