Economics Seminar Series Welcomes Dr. Will Olney - Wednesday Sept 28, 3 pm

The Dept. of Economics is pleased to welcome Dr. Will Olney, Associate Professor of Economics at Williams College in Williamstown, Mass., as guest speaker for its Fall Seminar Series this Wednesday, September 28 at 3:00 pm in Sage Labs 4711  Dr. Olney will present on the topic of  "Globalization and Executive Compensation."  

Dr. Olney's recent work focuses on the impacts of various aspects of globalization, such as immigration, offshoring, remittances and foreign investment, on wages and the domestic labor market.  His recently published Op-Ed in The New York Times, "How Donald Trump's Squeeze on Immigrants Will Backfire," examined some of the economic ramifications of Trump's proposals.  

The Economics Seminars are free and open to the RPI Community.
