Rensselaer Orchestra Debuts at Troy Savings Bank Music Hall

The Rensselaer Orchestra, under the direction of Nicholas DeMaison, makes its debut performance at the historic Troy Savings Bank Music Hall on Tuesday, Feb.10, as part of the Music at Noon Concert series. For this concert, the orchestra will perform Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture, Schubert's Symphony 8, and Dvorák's Slavonic Dance no.8.

Built in 1870, the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall was to the late 19th Century what EMPAC is to the early 21st: one of the finest acoustic environments devised in its day. In its 140 years, the hall has hosted many of the world's most reknowned musicians, and is currenty a regular venue for the Albany Symphony. Both the Orchestra and Mr. DeMaison make their debut performance at the hall on Feb. 10.

The concert will last one hour, and is free and open to the public.

Troy Savings Bank Music Hall is located at 30 2nd St. (at State St.) in downtown Troy.
