LL&C Colloquium Series -- Rhetorical Landscapes and the Varieties of Rhetorical Experience

Sage 5101

LL&C Colloquium Series presents Rhetorical Landscapes and the Varieties of Rhetorical Experience.

Alumnus Gregory Clark, Professor and Chair of English at Brigham Young University and editor of Rhetoric Society Quarterly, joins us on April 19 to discuss his book "Rhetorical Landscapes in America: Variations on a Theme from Kenneth Burke" and answer questions about academic publishing.

Greg will explore the idea of "rhetorical experience" and discuss how identification is an experience, an experience prompted by a wide variety of experiences that have a rhetorical effect -- the effect of changing one's sense of self and affiliation.
