Pioneering Slovenian bio artist, Polona Tratnik, Ph. D., is Dean of Alma Mater Europaea – Institutum Studiorum Humanitatis, Research Institute for Humanities, Ljubljana, where she is Professor / Head of Research. Tratnik will speak about “Convergences and Divergences of Art, Science, and Philosophy.” She will discuss ways that art enters the field of science, questions it, subverts it and aesthetically opens related issues to the public.

Angela Beallor's presentation is a queer adaptation of Sergei Tret'iakov's 1926 play I Want a Baby! This performance condenses the Soviet-era play with contemporary overlays and additions of dancers! experimental sound! video projection! & much much more. Come meet Milda Grignau, a cultural worker building a communal nursery who also works to contribute a new proletarian citizen to the development of the new society.
